Art is a phenomena of expression most powerful, through it exudes the feeling of despair, joy, laughter and tears. The cinema is the magic of everyday life translated into cameras.

Again and proudly, we can speak of the strength of this country. A country that not wanting to appear to the world, but are willing and able to show for themselves than they are able.

Ever heard of Rwanda Film Festival?

Let us tell you a little of what we found, from behind the backstage. Therefore not have been easy to find these rare jewelry. And do not say this because there is not, but because it is little known. But come on....

The Hillywood Rwanda Film Festival takes place once a year. And it is a respected film festival in the world.

Trivia: People do not go to the movies, but the film goes to them. These are people who live in the countryside, where most not have access to television. And the main, the film is filmed in Rwanda and in their local language Kinyarwanda.

For more information, I invite you to enter the site and find what you need to do to participate in this Festival. If you not have inclination to be an actor or cameraman, no problem, just go to the location of Rwanda Hillywood Film, and enjoy this show more!

We Brazilians are definitely passionate about cinema and know you Rwandans too. How ever, we still have much to learn from Rwanda.
Here in Brazil, which makes most success are the novels.

"Novel, the name itself defines it: a ball, which will unfold gradually." (Janet Clair)

Through of novel, it is possible to launch fashion, generating trends, create and reinvent reality. The novels also has emotion, cheer and play an important social role. Because there are many controversial issues and public interest.

THE FIRST DISCOVERIES: THE COLORS MADE BY BEAUTY OF RWANDA!!

Hello friends,

As we said before, every time we think and research about Rwanda, we have a new surprise. Each day we wish to discover more and more about this incredible country! We ask that our dear bloggers, comment your questions, suggestions and even mistakes. We are talking about Rwanda, with the curious eyes of two Brazilians girls.

In this post, the main subject is the art Rwandan. But the art Rwandan that goes beyond the traditional dances that we see everywhere. Rwanda is very beyond that! Rwanda is full of colors and artists ready to be  viewed by the world! Many were the discoveries! One of this is the Beauty of Rwanda.

The Beauty of Rwanda is an initiative of Salha L. Kaitesi, which coordinates the production and marketing of utensils typically Rwandans created and exported to the world with the goal to bring quality of life and wellness of Rwandan families. And so, she spreads the soul of these artists.

We know that Brazil has among its main influences and training of its people, the presence of African peoples. We were thrilled when we saw the beautiful work of Rwandan women. Here in northeastern of Brazil, also have crafts made by women. Crafts, passed from generation to generation, in which raw materials are natural elements.

However, here in Brazil we have a big problem, some of this art is being extinguished. Being a knowledge passed from generation to generation, few girls are interested in learning the craft, we run the risk of losing this cultural know.

     The surprises continue ...

Again, we see that Brazil and Rwanda have many things in common, because here we have artists who are inspired by everyday to make your pictures and works.

ART BY A BRAZILIAN
And we also find the work of a brilliant artist with the name: Dolph Banza.
His paintings depict the daily life in Rwanda with motion, color and emotion. Since we have seen his works, we are certain that Rwanda expressed its beauty, especially in the smile of your children!

WHAT DOES RWANDA HAVE?

Dear friends,
First let me thank all are which following and supporting our saga, by accessing and reading our blog! We dedicate this blog to Rwandans and also all those which want to know a little about Rwanda.
In response to the first post, I searched a few fun facts and important information about Rwanda. (I ask our bloggers, feel free to use the space for comments of amakurublog).
Do you remember Carmen Miranda (Carmen Miranda was a singer and actress Luso-Brazilian. Her eclectic style makes is considered a precursor of Tropicalia, Brazilian cultural movement emerged in the late 1960s.)? Maybe not, I myself do not remember it. When I was born, she had already died. However, her work is known worldwide. And rightfully so, she is considered a great artist. One of her "Marchinhas de Carnaval" ( Carnival songs) says: "O que que a baiana tem?" ("What does baiana have?"). (BAIANA the same that girls has born in Bahia-Brazil ). Soon replace it for Rwanda! What does Rwanda have? What Rwanda has a curious and interesting to show the world? Why invest in Rwanda?

Whenever I search about Rwanda, meeting reports, books, photos and much information about the genocide. I will talk little about it for two reasons: respect for the suffering of those lived and because there are memorials and persons subject matter experts for comment. In my opinion, genocide is a matter of shame for all, regardless of their nationality. Constructing memorials and museums that  explain the matter, is an important tool so that everyone knows and seeks alternatives to a better world. A country that does not know your past, there isn't way to build a decent future.
Every day, I find unexpected surprises about Ruanda. I say surprised because it is not easy to find updated information and the most incredible, ALL the information are of the genocide. Finding this information was difficult. PLEASE, SEARCH BEYOND the genocide! WRITE BEYOND the genocide! BELIEVE: RWANDA HAS MUCH MORE TO OFFER!!

Let's go the curiosities!

The main products of exports are coffee and tea.

Rwanda is at the the heart of Africa . Surrounded by hills, Lake Kivu and the countries Burundi, Congo, Uganda and Tanzania.
Lake Kivu is one of the largest lakes in Africa. It is an important natural boundary delimiting the Republic of Congo and Rwanda. Below this lake is a volcano. It is termed as explosive lake, containing methane and carbon dioxide in its composition. About two million people from the two borders, living at the margins of this lake.

It is a country with an abundant vegetation and hilly. It has so many hills which is called the Land of a Thousand Hills.
Lately, I think Rwanda is the country of a Thousand Smiles. So we have a big challenge: My partner and me will take ONE THOUSAND pictures of  SMILES RWANDAN in the months when we are in Rwanda. (DON'T PLAGIARISM! This challenge is of the AMAKURUBLOG!)

WELCOME TO COUNTRY OF THOUSAND SMILE!!!!

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN RWANDA?

It all starts after a simple statement: I'm going to Rwanda! Then, I hear this question: "WHAT WILL YOU DO IN RWANDA?"

I hear it from the first time I shared my plans. Calmly, I explain all the details of our adventure. Then comes a sentence that worries me even more ...“Oh, I know!!! It’s the capital of Angola, okay?”

Dear friends, there are people who have a problem. I am no expert to diagnose it. The Cebolinha (Personage  comic book "Turma da Mônica" by Mauricio de Souza. This character can not properly speak the words that have the letter R, exchanging phonetic for the letter L.) also has this difficulty.

Without patience, I repeat, "I said Rwanda, not Luanda."

We also have another problem that affects many people, I call people as "geographically lost"! I think I'll walk with a map of Africa in my pocket!

In this time of planning, both travel to Rwanda and to structure our ideas, we researched a lot about this country.

We found many interesting and curious information. What impressed us most was the vigor and beauty of people, places, culture ... Anyway, all that we found in addition to the thousand hills.

Discover the best of Rwanda, following our blog!
